Metaphor Dice Activity #1,
“The future is a broken promise.” Indeed.
We are often lied to.
“Things will improve.”
“This too shall pass.”
“I alone can fix it.”
None have come true.
Promises are made by design to be broken.
Why?
Because of human nature.
Man is incapable of shedding his outer coat of selfishness.
Since kindness is a foreign wind to him.
He fails at predictions.
He is imperfect.
And this inner imperfection is all-consuming.
He is corrupted.
He has an inflated ego.
He disregards others.
But worst of all, he lies for his own validation.
Who?
Man loves praise. He loves attention.
He wants all. Now.
And to better his present, he corrupts his future.
He makes it a broken promise.
