“On naïvété in politics”,
They say: We need reparations. I say: I agree, but we’ll never get them. But then again, we might with Democrats. But then again, they don’t care about Black people, only their votes. They probably still use the word when they’re alone singing along to “Mr. Nigga” in their car or something.
Democrats have had like 30 congressional sessions and opportunities to introduce H.R. 40 since 1989 and they haven’t acted on them. Not even when Obama was in office, which…the irony is palpable. Some rich Republican probably thinks it’s “rugged individualism”. But then again, not only Republicans believe in that stupid stuff. I don’t know, it’s weird.
H.R. 40 isn’t even approving reparations. It’s just looking into them. We can’t look into reparations because we’re too stubborn to realise that strategic voting does nothing, the Democrats do nothing, the Republicans do nothing, the Green Party does nothing, the Socialist Party of USA is in shambles, the other Socialist Party is virtually nonexistent, and there’s nothing else that will save America in this nonexistent-God-forsaken first-past-the-post system the Founding Enslavers cursed us with. ♦
