“Ça veut partir, devenir soi-même”,
I’m in a writers’ club-ish thing at my school with a few other people and a Student Support teacher. One of them is the protagonist from “When things don't go the way you expected”, another is the deuteragonist, and the rest are a jumbled yet crafted assortment of Volke who consider themselves deviant/lonely enough to belong there. Except they’re not actually deviant, and even they themselves know this to some degree, and deviant people are usually deviant to the point that they don’t gather into a group priding itself for its deviancy. They also have a Google Chat space called “The nerds, the losers, and the theater kids” and I know this because I share classes with one of its inhabitants. Minor note: For most contexts, including this one, it should be “theatre”, not “theater”, and I can’t explain the difference except I kind of can: “theatre” refers to the live performance itself, whereas “theater” is the venue itself and can be used in other contexts, e.g. “The TSA is a theater of safety.” I used to be in theatre myself through Chorus class in sixth and eighth grade; I stopped because I hated the repertoire. I like singing but not school singing, si ça fait quelque chose pour m’expliquer. ♦
