enquiries

enquiries, my sixth chapbook, was written during 2025 December 29-30; it is 19 pages long, excluding the front cover. I don’t remember exactly how I got the idea for it; it probably just popped into my head at night, and I decided to execute it over the next few hours. That would explain why the first poem, “What if i die?”, was written at 22:08.

I imagine enquiries as two voices talking to each other:

• The titles: The inner, anxious voice

• The poemtext: The other, rational (and sometimes humorous) voice

Throughout the chapbook, I specifically don’t capitalise the word “I” as used to refer to the self; this reflects how the person posing the questions could be devaluing themself.
